Period of Contact and trade
with other countries in Asia enabled traders to exchange wares in
the port city of Cebu possibly as early as 9th century A.D. based
on the rare pieces found in the Philippines Chinese coins, of Jars
and Ceramics. These were transported to the islands by shipping
vessels capable of long journeys.
