The term Igorot has often been used to all Luzon mountain cultures.  Igorot can generally be translated as mountaineer transporting  agricultural products like rice or camote usually carried on the head or shoulders.

In the home, a variety of baskets is used to store food and personal belongings.  These baskets are often large and may contain lucust (a special delicacy), clothing, or agricultural products.

The distinction between utilitarian objects and personal ornamentation breaks down when one looks in wonder at the colorful beaded baskets and bags from Mindanao highlands, the Bagobo, T'boli and Mandaya.
