The 400 years of colonial
domination by the Spaniards brought about the belief that Cebu's
culture and its historic account started only when Magellan discovered
Cebu in 1521.
Heirloom pieces preserved
through the years are now in the SWU Collection. Liturgical
pieces reveal the deep religiosity of the Cebuanos the folksy interpretation
of the Santos either done in Baroque style or in the primitive direction.
