Belief in life after death
are visible in practices by ancient Filipinos. There are three
examples of these: log coffins, limestone jars ?ecorda?y burial,
and burial urn.
Central Visayas is unique
in its belief in the after death. There are grave furniture
that are buried with their dead such as gold, beads, ceramics, stone
and iron tools for them to be able to survive in the next journey.

Death Mask
The deceased were honored
with “Mask” (eye, nose, and mouth covers) made of thin gold
sheets. Gold is considered as magical substance, might have
meant to keep in soul or keep out evil spirit.
