'Magellan's Cross'

Cebu city is known as the Philippine's seat of Christianity. To strangers, this kiosk wi-ch its planted cross inside may not easily be recognized, but the artist's Cebuano experience regarded it simply like a 'still--life'. The artist treated it in a number of pictorial variants, just as how the French Monet would be reflecting on his Rouen Cathedral. This historical landmark is presented with its typical scene, a horse- drawn carriage passing by, ambulant candle vendors, devotees and so on.
